The fish farm is running at a fraction of its capacity or potential. This property was developed with a view to providing my 2 sons with a business. They have absolutely no interest in farming and as a result I have lost interest. In spite of this I show a profit of R100k per year servicing only 4 customers running the farm as a hobby. The farm at present produces only 20 000 fish per year. It has the capacity to produce 220 000+ fish p.a. I run the farm alone without any additional labour. In summer I work about 1hr a day plus a further 2 full days a month. In winter I work about 1hr a week. I don’t want to employ labour because I don’t want the associated problems that come with it. I have enough money and now want to retire overseas.

Also on the property are 2 profitable manufacturing businesses; Fibreglass products, netting at present between R12k and R18k pm and 4x4 recovery equipment, netting a steady R9k to R12k pm even in a recession. Fibreglass business before the recession was netting R25k to R35k pm.
The businesses have been operating for 11 and 6 years respectively and virtually run themselves with the extent of my involvement being about 2hrs per month.
