- understand and define database capacity planning models to ensure appropriate computing resources are in place before the demand
- anticipates and resolves database integration issues for technical infrastructure of all complexities
- provides thought leadership for database management sysetms (dbms) use, design and implementation
- translate complex business and non-functional requirements into sound technical solutions
provide database related technical expertise/consulting to application development and global infrastructure teams.disaster recovery, teradata, grid infrastructure
- strong expeirence in database tuning and backup/recovery
- strong background in logical/physical data model
- oracle certifciations will be a plus
- expeirence mangaing databases in a cluod envirnoment
- expeirence with db2, sqlsrever is plus
- expeirence across distrbiuted systems projects with in detph experience on j2ee framweork, load-balancing, ibm aix 6.1, dataguard, oracle relational databases and understanding of open systems
- experience in unix/linux systems and extensive knowledge of high-availability, clustering,
'- bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related field preferred
- demonstrate complete sdlc for large scale complex projects
- minimum 10 years database architecture/administration experience with oracle 9i through 11g databases
- experience in database infrastructure design and engineering using industry best practice to support enterprise-wide mission-critical applications including both oltp and olap applications
- experience in engineering and/or solution architecture, development and implementation of database solutions for large-scale systems
- minimum 6 years hands on experience as oracle rac, asm, rman, redhat linux platforms
- in depth experience with data replication techniques and processes - specifically with oracle goldengate, and san technology
- strong experience in managing oracle databases on solaris 10, network topology.architect sr. specialist
