performing multi-tasks and managing cultural diversity with varoius origins/destinations is a challenge. which is demanding at times, trade requires coordination with different geographies, counterparties and banks, hence abiilty to perform unedr pressure is a must.need to maange time zone differences between difference offices.compliance and legal issues with the help of corporate legal and tax departments,
seek, tax, advise and make recommendations on opertaions. success of the incumbent will depend on ability to be creative, and to demonstrate initiative in identifying problems and providing solutions;
managing mulitple prioirties, understanding risks involved and the ability to resolve and report to higher management, wherever necessary and critical
need to be proactive member of the tsf business team so that admin strategies coincide with the business strategies.
maintainance of positions in the inventory system and development management reporting for traidng and admin management.
manage all aspects of trade settlement. irregular hours and numerous priorities create an environment where frequent problem solving is necessary,
fast paced.accounting and treasury to resolve execution issues and provide assistance where necessary, forwarders, liaise with other functional groups inclduing traders.
preparation and execution of all documents arising from tsf activity based on approved templates.the biz is growing at a fast pace and is increasing mulitifold compared to previous years.
assist in developing and documentation of procedures and policies to strengthen compliance.
manage counterparty and bank relationships.and be flexible enough to work effectively in a constantly changing environment,
working challenge
tsf business is highly technical and challenging, understand the business, requires someone who is willing to make a serious commitment to the job.
responsibilities
gain complete knowledge of the trade finnace business, trading of money market instrmuents, including export/import transactions, special trade and funding structures.working with other local and regional offices to ensure that appropriate cargill controls are included in settlement process, funding, tracking limits, positions and obligations, delivery of assets, legal and tax implications, settlements, this includes developing a thorough knowledge of transaction structure, coordinating all documentation with intrenal and external parties.
effective communciation and initiative to move issues forward are critical. 3-5 years of trade finance/ relevant commensurate expeirence
skills/knowledge
expsoure to forwarding operations of commodity trading company
exposure to commodity finance and documeantions
famliiar with icc publiactions and use of various tyeps of instruments including lcs, bills of excahnge, deatil orineted, thoroguhness and accruacy in work
good communication and negotaition sklils
able to work with minmial superivsion, etc
exposure to finacnial trading operations wolud be an advatnage
experience in loan adminitsration in a finacnial instiuttion

educational requirements
university degree/diploma in business, finance/accounting
requirements

understand legal and tax (both us and local) implications of tsf trades in the region.
keeping abreast with market and industry changes may require constant upgrading of skills and knowledge.

admin teams - daily, to communicate requirements and expectations, assist in resolution of issues and provide feedback, improve on work efficiencies
operations manager - daily basis; discuss problems, receive/provide input on procedural issues, training etc
controller - as required, to provide updates and receive guidance or updates on biz.
good working knowledge of accounting activities to provide assistance and support in other areas as required.original and creative thought required to handle such cases as these usually run ahead of any formal guidance from legal/tax / regulatory and accounting guidelines.
challenges continually arise due to evolvement of new financial products and trading strategies. decisions regarding normal daily activities should be made independently.
execution of all tsf trades in adherence to the tsf standard operating procedures. ensure that impact on financial and risk reporting, tax and regulatory issues are taken into consideration.structures and cope with changing priorities is essential, to resolve issues and keep them appraised of follow ups and trade execution status
banks and customers - frequently, cash payments and receipts
environment and challenges
external environment is changing fast,
trading team - as required, for trade execution and settlement
business units - obtain information, coordinate trade execution and settlement
auditors and consultants - as required;
corporate tax/ legal - as required ; to access expertise / advise for resolution of issues;
treasury - arrange funding, therefore ability to adapt to new businesses.
need to keep abreast with new market products and strategies.
any unresolved issues and all material deviation from procedures must be referred to supervisor.
