general summary
this position is part of the business security enablement group within the global security organization (gso). the team facilitates the adoption and delivery of the global security organizations services, with a focus on effectiveness, quality and timeliness.the busniess security enablement group enables emc business units to achieve their goals by helping to idetnify and understand rikss, and facilitate the consumption of security services in order to reduce those rikss, proivde recommendations.as a member of business security enablement group you would be expected to support the efforts of the gso across a geographic region by acting as the liaison with the business in order to identify and reduce risk and/or impact to emc and its businesses in a particular theater. vulnerability manaegment, risk manaegment and assessment, exception and escalation management,
responsibilities
· be accountable to the business for delivery of it security/risk services while maintaining a view on security; including crisis management, incident response.
· minimum 7 years experience in risk and compliance
· experience in business proecss improvement projects.
· present security recommendations to the business;
· work with appropriate teams (internal or external) to translate security
· requirements and risk remediation recommendations into meaningful action items / plnas;
· work with it risk management and provide diretcion to bu management abuot key risks affetcing emc as a comapny and identify opportnuities / plans to mitgiate thsee risks;
· devleop business process improevments / re-engineering to help loewr the risk posutre for the business;
· other duties as required
requisite skills
· strong written and verbal communication skills
· the ability to communicate with business functions across the enterprise and across the world

· deep understanding of technical concepts within security risk and compliance
· understanding of business concepts and business process improvement

· ability to articulate complex ideas
· cissp, cisa & cism preferred
· bachelors degree in business and/or mis (masters preferred
· min 10 years in consulting/auditing for large company
· experience in supporting pci-dss, sas 70 and or iso 27001 audits. this position focuses on all aspects of emc’s security program and risk within the emc bus.
· drive risk reporting and remediation planning for the bu’s with which the bsm interacts;
· work with business technology group (btg) resources to secure endorsement and support for risk remediation plans;
· identify and suggest improvements for poor or ineffective controls and processes;
· understand the regulatory and compliance requirements that the business undergoes, as well as the general security requirements of business.
