job description general summary
emc’s e-lab is chartered with the interoperability and integration of emc’s products with products from industry partners. we have an opening for an experienced systems integration engineer with a focus on stoarge networking technologies used to share data locally / remotely. and processes to improve our overall customer satisfaction and experience,
the candidate may also assist with the architecture of new products/features and make contributions towards continuous improvements in products, test plans.initial duties include installing and administrating a qualification system/environment, identifying and documenting product deficiencies, and working with other engineers to troubleshoot/resolve issues found. knowledge of administering storage networking components and storage array systems. analytical and problem solving skills to isolate storage connectivity and interoperability issues. proficiency in managing server harwdare and in administering one or more of the following operating systems: windows, ibm aix, sun solaris, vmware esx, hp-ux, linux.
knowledge of storage protocols such as scsi, or fcoe is required, fibre channel, tcpip/ethernet.
principal duties and responsibilities
follow an existing test plan to quailfy hardware and sofwtare relaeses from estabilshed parnters to meet demadning emc requierments. capbale of leanring on the job and driivng resoultion.familairity with storage prootcol analzyers is desiarble.
as junior engineers on the team need assistance, the candidate will help guide and debug technical problems. identifying any deficiencies, debugging issues found, this includes maintaining a robust test environment, researching then testing product features/functionality/usability, working with partners to resolve them and documenting results.he/she will need to coordinate the projects and equipment resources with other senior members of the team, both in singapore and with remote members in the us, additionally.

education and job experience
bs or ms in ee/ce/cs with minimal of 5 up to 10 years qualification experience.build and maintain a test cell infrastructure that allows 24 x 7 global test coverage. to provide directions, to provide plans and to mentor other junior level engineers working on related storage projects, this is a senior level position that requires the ability to multitask between projects.good oral and written communication skills. general knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
