10% - work in close collaboration with all ot departments (middesk, vo, ao, accounting, risk, credit) and ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner (booking wires, chinsay, softmar entry, vessel nominations, cash book updates).there is an emphasis on both internal and external customer relatoinship manaegment in this role. creating freight opportunities for them, managing their freight position on spot/short term basis and providing optimal logistic solutions, rating their demand, working closely with internal product lines to provide them with value added market insights and positioning advice.

30% - build strong customer relationships (for target customers and strategic routes) and complete the account management disciplines. the position is required to feed back learning in spot/medium term market analysis and share report to the team members. handymax freight trader

responsible to cover specific market segments as defined by desk manager for executing chartering and trading game plan and follow up of fixtures to ensure timely accurate performance. sugar, operators and customers as per specific market segment

university degree and/or diploma in shipping a plus but not required
experience:

3-5 years shipping/trading experience

customer focus and engagement sklils

good problem solivng and decsiion-maikng abiilty

good relationship management and interpresonal sklils

analtyical and numreate

good commrecial skills

appteite for and intreest in commrecial risk taking

fluent in english and familiarity with a local language a plus

technical skills

good understanding of various charter party and voyage terms and conditions

experienced in making voyage calculations

understanding of basic risk management tools

in depth knowledge of shipping and voyage charterparties

account management skills

solid commodity knowledge

internal - ocean transportation trading desks

internal - grains, coal & cfi teams

external - relations with ship owner.the role requires a high level of communication skills and teamwork in order to effectively serve customers and deal with external brokers/suppliers.undertake freight market s&d analysis to assist in market reading helping to anticipate market moves and maximize opportunities both for ourselves and the customers we serve

15% - actively connect and collaborate with other bu's to identify and drive business growth opportunities. working within the team to optimize the cashbook, maximizing earnings for the cargill ot fleet.
principal accountabilities:

30% - execute on the desk/customer gameplan in the spot market bold and timely while always complying with the cargill vessel vetting policy and gathering market insights from brokers. also build/maintain relationships with internal stakeholders including admin/vessel ops/accounting

15% - champion regional snd and/or specialize in a strategic flow to provide insights and contribute to the overall desk trading game plan.
